Bio

Rebecca Cassar (b. 1994) is a Maltese artist specialising in abstract art. From a young age, she has been passionate about painting, drawing and the history of art, and constantly seeks to discover new media to experiment with.

In 2020, after pursuing a career as a lawyer with a Masters in Human Rights, Rebecca took the decision to chase her dream of becoming a full-time artist. Her works display this journey of self-discovery, intrigue, and experimentation. Fascinated by the human condition, vibrant colours, texture, and gold leaf; Rebecca’s abstract works elicit thought provoking conversations and impactful emotions within their viewers.

Since the start of her artistic career, she has successfully held three solo exhibitions; her debut exhibition ‘Enlightenment’ at Malta Society of Arts and ‘Introspection’ at 59, Strait Street, in Valletta, and ‘Mewga’ at Gemelli Art Gallery, Ta’ Qali. She has also taken part in a number of collective exhibitions.
